On April 7, 2025, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced a partial revision to the interpretation of the periodic self-inspection methods stipulated in Article 94-3, Items 1 and 2 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Electricity Business Act. According to this, the inspection of the "body and anchor ring" on the side of the tower has been stipulated to "check for cracks or rust in the paint on the outer surface of the welded parts."

This service utilizes technology from the French company Cornis SAS, which uses drones equipped with high-definition cameras to photograph the tower. The captured image data is then analyzed by AI to detect cracks, rust, and damage to the paint.
